Description: LOCATION: Landis Run Intermediate School, Middle School, High SchoolKNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Education: Master’s Degree (must be a PA resident attending an out-of-state school psychology program or is an out-of-state resident attending a Pennsylvania School for School Psychology)Experience: Knowledge of psychological theory and practice, including assessment and test theory, diagnostic categories, personality assessment, learning disabilities, statistics, and counseling theories; knowledge of and adherence to legal procedures as contained in local, state, and federal policies governing special education, including IDEA laws and guidelines; knowledge of and adherence to professional and ethical standards of the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists; knowledge of counseling techniques, behavioral management techniques, classroom instructional interventions, and parent training strategies.Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, and effective use of technology required; expertise in working with school-aged children (minimum 3 years of experience) preferred.Additional Information: This is a paid internship to an eligible, out of state graduate student to serve as a school psychologist intern for the 2024-25 school year. This internship is responsible for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by collaborating with educators, administrators, families, and other mental health professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for all students and strengthen connections between home and school. This internship is accountable for the handling of highly diverse situations and data.
