Our busy hotel is looking for an exceptional director of sales and marketing to develop a revenue plan that maximizes profitability for daily sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. We need someone willing to be the brand’s voice and manage the marketing budget to produce property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral that will generate revenue and meet property targets. • Analyze market trends to determine pricing that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand
• Utilize marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other techniques to continuously seek new business
• Write comprehensive and precise sales reports showing the financial statements for sales promotion, direct sales, and outline of marketing plans
• Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
• Collaborate with sales managers and stakeholders to assess the performance of the organization

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Marketing expertise and knowledge of sales department best practices are needed for this position
• Computer skills are needed for this position, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality being preferred
