They are also one of the world’s largest nonprofit photography associations that is organized to help professional photographers with over 30,000 current members in more than 50 countries.SUMMARY:The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications using modern PHP frameworks. You will work closely with departments and other developers to build secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications. Experience with CMS platforms, RESTful APIs, MySQL, JS/CSS frameworks and AWS infrastructure is essential.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CakePHP.
  • Optimize and manage relational databases, primarily MySQL, for performance and scalability.
  • Build and integrate APIs for internal and third-party services.
  • Manage and customize CMS platforms such as ExpressionEngine, or others as needed.
  • Develop full stack web application solutions.
  • Architect AWS-based infrastructure solutions and manage cloud services (S3, MediaConvert, etc.).
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in web development
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and at least one major PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP).
  • Deep understanding of MySQL, including performance tuning and complex queries.
  • Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, preferably ExpressionEngine).
  • Solid knowledge of AWS services and deploying web applications in a cloud environment. Experience with MediaConvert a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue or React).
  • Ability to work independently and lead small development projects.
  • Knowledge and experience integrating with AI systems.

  • Type: Onsite M-Thu, Remote Fri
  • Location: Atlanta, GA
  • Compensation: $100-$110k annually

Salary: $100000 – 110000 per year
