Description: Innocademy Zeeland is a small school with a family feel looking for talented teachers to guide students to develop the capacity, knowledge, and cultural competence to be actively engaged stewards in their communities and beyond. We are a Y5 through 8th Grade Academy where teachers can be themselves and have a say in how the Academy operates by having teacher-led responsibility teams that cover varying topics from curriculum to family engagement. By embracing innovation, small class sizes, integrated nature-based activities, and a balanced calendar.Responsibilities:

• Teach approved curriculum in engaging ways to stimulate students’ interest in and broaden their understanding of a global environment.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Communicate regularly with parents by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Identify student needs and make appropriate referrals and develop strategies for individual education plans.

Qualifications:Appropriate Michigan Teaching Certificate

• Lower El (ZO) PK-3
• Elementary K-5 all subjects (K-8 all subjects in self-contained classroom) (ZG) K-8
